Do I need a web server?
No, of course we can install Joomla on your web server if it fulfills the requirements, but we also offer a hosting service. This service gives you full access to a web server where we put your installation. We can also help you to redirect your domain name to this web server or assist you with the registration of a new domain. If you would like to install Joomla on your own web server it must fulfill the following requirements.
- Apache 1.3.x or later
- PHP 5.x or later
- MySQL 3.23.x or later
- Approx 40 MB available space on your server
